supercharger is more reliable, constant power, less maintenence.

turbo however is capable of acheiving much more power w/ certain mods.

but I say neither. N/A baby!

I'm thinking of going turbo sometime (in the next year or so) and boost on stock internals, just need to find a GOOD shop first.

Cool, I'm still thinking about it not sure about reliability and all that since it is my DD and only car.

dont go anything over 13psi for dd unless u are gonna drive with slicks....ive spent countless hours on researching setups, limits for dd and reliability....what im gonna do is take that motor that i took apart and hot tank it, get the cylinder walls measured to make sure they are oem spec and completely rebuilding it. if ur gonna turbo ur stock motor make sure u replace ur head gasket

Yeah I definitely am reading up more and more but probably only push to 8psi if that much.  Only need something to push me into my seat for a little bit. :)

you will not have any reliability boosting a stock engine internals....

You should not expect ur motor to last very long cause it will eventually blow up.....

get a spare h22 shortblock and build it and then do ur turbo build...just my opinion and they way to do it right...

i saw somewhere on HT...

cheap and fast wont be reliable
reliable and cheap wont be fast
fast and reliable wont be cheap.

just remember

im saying supercharger.... jacksonracing...   saw a guy with jun internals and a jrsc run 12's i was amazed he said he was only running like 6 pounds of boost, but there was also drag radials on it lol. but man was it nice.. i wonder if you can get a lude in to the 10's or 9's

Superchargers are probably the easiest route to a boost in power and lots of kits bolt right in.  I would go that way if I was lazy and wanted something decently fast and reliable.  They have their drawbacks... they whine and some people don't like the sound.  They don't make as much power as a well-tuned turbo.  They're hard to hide ;)

Turbos can be a headache, setting them up and getting them running perfectly can be a lost cause.  I'm sure that's why there are so many half-finished projects using turbos for sale.  I'm sure it's easier if you have access to a well-versed tuner, otherwise prepare to shell out.  Frankly I just would not do turbo unless I stumbled upon a heap of cash or had access to my own personal turbo nerd (which I do have...).  What else?  Oh yeah, turbo lag.  And adding a ton of boost to a motor that switches to high-lift cams after certain RPM really scares me.

I would go N/A is the bottom line.  Less s**t to break, less complication.  Milder=less trouble for me to get in.
